I was contacted by Ed to replace the handle on his Tanaka Sekiso 240.
Ed conveyed that he would like for me to balance the knife while replacing the handle as it was so far out of balance (tip heavy) that it wasn't pleasurable to use.
The wood we chose was curly maple handle section, and a walnut ferrule.
Ed demanded that the new handle be my design, RTFS.
The saya is made of walnut and like the handle, finished with tung oil.
Ed decided to stay traditional with this one, so we kept it simple.
The pin on the saya was tethered after I took the photos
Thank you Ed for returning to me for another handle!
Thank y'all for lookin'
