Close-ups were with microscope to show more of what the stone does.

Macros look great but hard to tell what it would look like (cosmetically)...got any zoomed out shots?
Cosmetically the knives look as always. No extra scratches from sharpening if that's what you mean.
No change in contrast to speak of.

Great review Joe. I’ve been tempted to invest in a microscope for the same reason.minwatch a you tuber who is a stone fanatic and looks at Stone results through a microscope hooked to his PC after every 10-20 strokes. It’s amazing to see what the different stones do and I have to think it would be a time saver revealing poor stones. Good stuff!

Thanks Sean,

It's easy to set up a laptop next to where you're working and simply run the edge under the scope frequently like that.
I know better what to do or not do when I can see what's going on.
Sure, after awhile you can feel it too, but when you really want to dial it in...

I’m setting up a new sharpening area now. I may get that set up, might reach out for some pointers in a couple months if that’s cool with you?

Stone shows a pretty even grain size - very very nice.

Hi Joe,

When you’re done trying the stone please ship it to Sean next. Ray said he was too busy and wants to drop out.

Stone is here, received in good condition. I’ll spend some time with it this weekend before I head out of town Monday. Who is next? I’ll get it headed your way Monday.

Looks like a great stone, it will be fun to see what it’s all about.
