Yes better actually. Yesterday I soaked some dried shiitake and porcini mushrooms in red wine and stock and that put it over the top flavor wise. The meat's taste and texture is amazing. The collagen broke down for a velvety richness that is hard to achieve with resting meat. We have the best tasting deer around here - they feed on corn, acorns and apples.
