Less sticking with the yanagi,
If you want clean slices, dip first in hot water, wipe off excess water, cut, wipe off excess cake, repeat.

How on earth did you get this cake onto the board without mussing the top or sides?

Back in the day, the shamwow guy sold something called the slap chop but if anything deserves that moniker, It's this "knife".
