WIP 240mm honyaki gyuto

Post by Willison_Knives » Mon Apr 10, 2017 9:25 pm

Hey everyone. This is the blade I intend to use for the pass around. W2 steel, oil quenched with clay on the spin. Its only at 100 grit and etched in ferric chloride to see the hamon. I tried to get this nice and thin! Let me know what you think!

Awesome looking blade and handle combo!

That looks like a laser... how thick is the spine?

Well I am going to make a start this weekend and see how I go. I will get some photos up either tomorrow night or Sunday. I am not sure how quickly it will get finished?
