Well, tell us more, Ben! you're intriguing us :)

how does it feel? Grippy? Slippery? Sticky?
How much does it weigh?

That’s me... just trying things, sometimes it sticks, others it fails.

What do you want to know? This one weigh 25 grams and feels pretty solid. There are lots of ridges, so I think it is super grippy. Anything else?

Yeah,
when will you be producing burly, curly, and spalted ones? :D
Or two-piece examples?

25grams? Sounds like its as light as ho wood, no?

Ha. This is definitely different than working on wood. Of nothing else I am enjoying the process to running up a $200 printer plus upgrades. I may start tackling custom programming objects just for the fun of it. The type of thing that would happen when I can’t run powertools due to noise or unsafe levels of exhaustion.

These would also be much cheaper, so they are a nice economical route.

Two piece is possible, basically a pause then manually change the filament. It is a little more labor. I could see a wood filament with a change to spacer material then another change to ferrule material.

I just ordered glow in the dark, silver and rainbow filament. I may have let the 7yr old loose on amazon and then narrowed it down from there.

Here is a prototype shape that was 3D printed before I try it on the lathe.

Combination octagon and oval handle, don't see a lot of them. Good to see you branch out on your shape options.

Very cool indeed.

Interesting heel on that knife. Very thick. What brand is it?
