Spyderco HAP40, it would be perfect if not orange.
I remember the days when we were all in a uproar over VG10. Man great memories. Now we have seen some great steels come M390 which I personally loved to SG2, S30V, CPM154, CPM M4, and HAP40, and my big favorite ZPD189. Quite easy to sharpen now with proper stones and still quite expensive. Unfortunately this is the only color I could find it in when I bought it. GOOD KNIFE if I could get different scales for it I know a guy on Amazon that does sell them but don't know his reputation . if I still had some of my equipment I lost in the Divorce like 2 kydex presses one huge one not so huge and all kinds of stuff but as they say crap happens. Enjoy the pics of the HAP40 Spyderco and I wish we had a separate post for pocket and hunting knives since that makes up a big big portion of my work.

Yup. I want most things I take camping to be brightly colored. Camouflage works. Particularly well when I've layed something down.

Orange is the new black!
If God wanted me to be a vegetarian he wouldn't have made animals taste so good.

I got to find some scales for this. I do not like the orange but that's just me. Trying to find white. Or black.
Re: Spyderco HAP40, it would be perfect if not orange.
Looks like a Delica? Love that knife, I have three of them among my EDC knives, including a ZDP-189 with British Racing Green scales.
Re: Spyderco HAP40, it would be perfect if not orange.
Actually its the endura. In HAP40 and the ZPD 189 STRETCH. LOVE the ZPD 189. I love HAP40 just not that knife.
Re: Spyderco HAP40, it would be perfect if not orange.
Ah, the Delicas big brother. Was looking at the orange handle, didn't pay enough attention to the blade. I have six Spydercos, picked up three at the factory in Golden, CO. If you dislike the orange scales, you'd hate the yellow ones on my Assist Salt.
Re: Spyderco HAP40, it would be perfect if not orange.
Yellow would not bug me but this orange just sticks out. Thought it would grow on me it has not.
Re: Spyderco HAP40, it would be perfect if not orange.
Compared to those yellow scales, orange truly is the new black. I bought that knife for scuba diving, so I got a color that would stand out in poor visibility. Regardless, I love Spydercos. Not my only EDC maker, but I have more of them than anything else.
