Minneapolis Crew!

Post by Nmiller21k »

I know you're out there, lurking, sharpening, waiting....

A friend of mine is running a mobile homeless shelter for homeless with dogs / pets.
"My Pitbull is Family"
http://www.mypitbullisfamily.org/
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080a45adae2ca7fc1-meal

She needs rotating meal providers, and I'd like to do one, with some professional chefs.
I'll supply the food stuffs, I just need the bodies.
Why can't we provide them with some amazing food even if they're in a tough situation?

I'm leaning towards a Sunday Morning / Monday dinner.

If anyone wants to volunteer we can work out details.

How about professional idiots; need any of those? ;)
I'm Dave. I don't take myself too seriously and you probably shouldn't either.

I don't consider myself a pro, but I'm pretty comfortable in a pro kitchen, let me know what your thinking about as far as dates and I will do what I can to be available.

I'm game as well - live close to downtown so I can get anywhere easily

Is this all out in Apple Valley? I also work with http://famplace.org/ in downtown St. Paul and a couple kitchens in Minneapolis

Seriously though, I'm in if I can. You know I'm down to try and help. 25 of me may be as good as one jmcnelly, ha.

Ah, Apple Valley. I spent the first half of my childhood there. Great place to be a kid other than the politics around youth wrestling. Very generous as usual Nick.

She rotates where they stay based on places volunteering help.
So based on the weekend depends on where the food will be served.

Hi Nick,

I’ll offer a knife sale and donate the proceeds to them. I’ll get it on the site today.

I think we can rock with this crew (plus myself and wife)
I'll find a date and we'll start working out a small awesome menu.
