Re: EDC suggestions
I see a lot of love for spyderco. I own a few myself. I found a leather guy on Etsy who makes some outstanding leather holsters for them. I had one made, liked so much I had another made. Give him you spyderco model, select the color, pay and you get it in about a month. The guy is over in Europe or Russia, no affiliation, just a very well made product. I would take a picture of mine but I’m in Hawaii on business, leave the knives home when I fly.

What's your price range? Any preferences for steel, blade length, weight, opening mechanism, scale material, lock type, etc? I bought my wife a Spyderco Ladybug 3 and she likes it but she's not very picky.
I think she would prefer a stainless steel. VG10 or similar. Light weight. Max 3.5" closed. The smaller Spydercos look nice. As does the Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555.

Re: EDC suggestions
We have a job on Maui that should be permitted soon, we’ve had a contract for over a year and I’ve heard “soon” for over a year from the architect. So the answer is... hell if I know. We currently have work going out at Kaulapapa, Oahu and the big island. But they can only put us off for so long on Maui, hopefully you don’t sell out before we get the green light.mauichef wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 8:29 pmSo when are you coming to visit?nakneker wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 8:03 pm D78CFCB4-6B31-4273-BDF7-AE848FD99B52.png

The Dragonfly has gotten really popular of late, good choice.

Re: EDC suggestions
I know this is too late to be helpful but I just wanted to chime in. I don't EDC often, but when I do, I've got a Deejo 37g. It's really small and light. Wish I would have went for a smaller 27g as I don't need such a long blade for the tasks I do. They are 420 steel, nothing special. They come in a ton of different handle materials and blade patterns. A fun knife, if not a bit pedestrian.

Re: EDC suggestions
Well, they certainly are nice and small, which are my wife's favorite features. She can always have it on her without too much inconvenience. Those Tattoos are very cool. And assuming you bought the VG10, I think your wife will be happy with the stainless. Given the climate in Maui, that probably makes more sense than D2, which would need considerably more TLC, even when not in use.

I have many different Spiderco knives but I can't say enough about my Native 5's. You'll usually see me carry one of these when I am not carrying a Great Eastern folder of some kind.

Re: EDC suggestions
The Benchmade Bugout gets a lot of love for EDC. I'd suggest checking out one of those.

Yes I was really close to getting her that one but the Dragonfly size and the lovely engraving won out.Organic wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 11:45 am The Benchmade Bugout gets a lot of love for EDC. I'd suggest checking out one of those.

Re: EDC suggestions
No such thing as "best" only preference. Such an irrelevant word in the knife world.

Re: EDC suggestions
I picked up a Benchmade Bugout, perfect EDC knife. Lightweight, good blade steel, low ride pocket clip. No drawbacks so far!
