Meara JNS - SOLD!
I will probably regret this but I am just not using this stone. I like it but it needs to go to someone who will use it.

Re: WTS Meara JNS
Nice stone for those who love very hard stones. I had one many years ago and gave it to Mizogami (bud in Edo) - if you like very hard stones this would be one great finishing stone. I like soft stuff

Re: WTS Meara JNS
Any chance you can describe the approximate grit of the stone and how that changes?

This may help. It crosses over beautifully from a Nubatama Bamboo 5K. All it really seems to do when I make the transition from Bamboo to Meara is refine the scratch pattern and allow me to tighten up my edge before I go further up the line with my JNATs. Often it's my ending stone.

Re: WTS Meara JNS
I use mine after an Aono Aoto. It is a hard stone, as Rob points out, and the feedback it VERY subtle, but it does the job. I often touch up my knives on the Aoto and the Meara.

I think Robstreperous and easilver summed it up nicely. The only thing I would add would be it works best with a slurry.

Re: WTS Meara JNS
Good point. I almost always use some kind of nagura with mine in order to raise a slurry.
