New work. (pic heavy)

Post by Joshigon »

Here are some new handles and sayas I completed recently.

The first is a Richmond 240 sab. The handle is made from some local spalted hackberry burl. I processed the burl and stabilized the wood myself. I have lots more of the beautiful wood.

Next is a 180 Ishikawa gyuto. The handle is buckeye burl with an ebony ferrule. The saya is spalted tamarind.

Next is an awesome Wauki 210 gyuto. The handle is gray box burl with an ironwood ferrule.

Next is my wifes Kohetsu sld 210 gyuto. The handle is Tulip wood with a red heart ferrule. The saya is the most beautiful piece of canary wood I have ever seen with a core of paduk wood.
