Tony from Tokushu Knives posted Marks results after editing out the CKTG information, trying to claim he had it tested. Then said that he spoke with the Dao Vua head honcho about it and they collaborated on the test. What a slime ball! Going to stir the pot on Reddit now, be back later!

How sad someone would try to take credit for something that way. The knife community is small, so how could it go unnoticed…stupid.

It could be a misunderstanding. I did send the report to Daovua and told them they could use it however they pleased. Perhaps they redacted my name and gave it to this other retailer and he wanted to have a go with the mob.

I did see some guy was trying to argue that since it was just 1 test it wasn’t indicative of anything. I suppose I should do one of these for every knife since they only cost $200 per knife. Lol.

Anyway I’m happy I did it. Internet rumors get out of control and this particular one hurt my supplier so I’m happy to give them some ammunition.

It really did sound like that, didn't it? They were called out on it, but tried to defend themselves for a bit, but no matter how they defended, it couldn't change the "we" did this bit.

I have 3 of these things and they're ridiculously awesome knives, I got them when mark first offered them, no regrets

Agreed. I don't own any Dao Vua knives, but am impressed that you took the initiative to address this head-on. I saw the Reddit thread, and while of course one test cannot scientifically prove that it never happened, I hope that anyone reading knows that this is a huge data point in Dao Vua's favor. But even more so I think this speaks to CKTG - in a small retail industry like handmade chef knives, there's little talk about the material safety of the products. But when it was questioned, I'm glad CKTG quickly addressed it!
