Edge Pro Apex in Shapton Pond?

Post by TotinChip »

The Shapton Pond uses frosted glass so I wonder whether the suction cups on the Apex will hold. When we downsize in the near future I will lose my sharpening station in the basement and keeping things spotlessly clean will be a priority. The Edge Pro stone leveling kit would work fine but I am curious about the Shapton Pond too.

Hi there TotinChip. In my garage I use a 300 X 600mm polished floor kitchen tile with the long side facing me. For use indoors you could glue a thin rubber membrane to the bottom to protect bench-tops etc. The more "buff" floor tiles should also work, just in case you have one lying around. If you haven't got either, then check out the supply stores for "seconds", which should be pretty cheap.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not going to get you!!
