Going to Mass tomorrow.
We're flying to MA tomorrow morning and returning Sunday. Quick visit to see my mom and sister. Super Lacy is running the show until we get back so we'll still be pushing stuff out same day unless it's complicated.

Haha. I assumed you meant Catholic mass by the title. Hope you have a nice trip!

Re: Going to Mass tomorrow.
Our plane broke and we had to switch it out in Dayton Ohio. Got in just before some big rain storms came through.

Re: Going to Mass tomorrow.
The rainstorms were my fault. I needed to get a brisket on last night for a dinner tonight.
Naturally any time I need to smoke meat outside -- with no option for failure --- it rains.
Sorry about that Mark I'll give you better notice next time.

Nope. North Shore Long Island. Don't you wish you were here too?

I too was trying to understand the relationship between the Catholic Church and J-knives - Taxachusetts would be easier for those of us in NH to understand!

More importantly, how are you cooking your brisket?Robstreperous wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2017 12:27 pmNope. North Shore Long Island. Don't you wish you were here too?

Re: Going to Mass tomorrow.
12.5 lb packer (trimmed weight)
Cowboy lump. Oak and hickory.
Made up the rub as I went along. Basically salt, pepper, paprika, mustard, garlic power, onion poweder, thyme brn sugar. Bunch of stuff I don't remember.
Finished early. Only took about 12 hours. Heated up a block of granite, wrapped in towels. Put in cooler. Wrapped brisket in foil. Wrapped in towels again. Holding in the cooler as long as I can.... Party's moved inside.
Also did some burnt ends with a leftover point I've been saving.

I gave up mass for lent and never went back.
If God wanted me to be a vegetarian he wouldn't have made animals taste so good.
