I have some 12 inch chef knives made of x50crmov so they are a low grade enough metal to benefit from using a steel.
So far the largest rods I've found online are 14 inches plus handle. Does anyone know of one that's 15 inches or bigger?

Re: 15+ inch honing Steel
Not off the top of my head, try to Google it. I am sure there are some out there you may just have to look a bit harder. Is there a reason the the 14inch won't work for a 12 inch knife? Before getting into j knives I would hone a 9inch henkles on a 10inch rod and it worked fine.

I've never see one over 14", I'd be very surprised if you will find one longer.
