Wow, you have some great knife skills! The consistency of those cuts is pretty amazing.

I pretend my skills are that good...until I cut of a finger tip...
If God wanted me to be a vegetarian he wouldn't have made animals taste so good.

When you have the room, might as well stretch out. Gotta say, I'm liking knives and asparagus rubber bands, too...

Re: Knives at work
Hehe, I have lots of rubber bands.
I'm loving the yahiko as it's about perfect for a lot of the mid / smaller fruits and berries I'm cutting. I probably don't need that and the shibata, but they're probably my 2 favorite purchases in the past year.
I'm really curious about who made the yahiko.
Man, I would love to work in your kitchen... Lights right above the boards, lots of space, a phone and a clock (I haven't worked in a kitchen with either for about 8 years... And Coffee right there? Just rub it in man.
My newest workspace was built with (only) 2 recessed lights in the ceiling, above and behind my head where I stand at the station. Crazy shadows. I finally finished putting lights in last night.. Guess I'm the new electrician too

Re: Knives at work
By the way is that Kitchenaid the 7 or 8 qt. model and do you have issues with the speed selector cutting power and not working properly? I've had that issue with at least 3 of those so far.
1-7qt and 2-8 qt. Models

Re: Knives at work
I had to check because I thought it was the 8qt, but it is the 7qt. The one you see actually works very well, but we have another that is finicky. It only shifts to odd speeds. Not a huge problem, but telling of a huge problem.
I am incredibly fortunate to have that space about two days a week. The rest of my time is spent in weirder kitchens, which are also very nice, but not as nice as the one pictured.

Re: Knives at work
I never think about taking pictures of the work I do with my knives, or the food I've prepared, until I come to this damn forum! Guess I need to set a camera on the counter to remind me...

Hey! I recognize that knife! It's my brother's favorite when he comes over to cook with me. Nice work, Tim!

Left to right they are a Makoto, a Kanehide Bessaku, and a Kashima. It was an all CKTG night.
