Blade Show 2018 Atlanta
Blade Show 2018 Atlanta
Blade show 2018 in Atlanta June 1-3. I'm going, who else will be there?
The kitchen knife selection has been growing nicely in the past few years. I even ran across a Japanese maker last year looking for a distributor in the US. His knives were very nicely finished blue steel shuminagashi that were quite heavy. Reminded me of a little of the highly regarded Kato. I didn't have the funds last year, but if he's there this year, I'm definitely making a purchase.

I figured this is the show you were talking about. That's why I asked. I kind of forget it is coming uo. Glad you reminded me. I've trying to go for a couple of years, but I think I'm going to plan to make it this year.

Wish they had a good knife show around here. I live in the middle of Redneck Gun Show Land. There is a major gun show here every three months.

Re: Blade Show 2018 Atlanta
Here in Louisville you have National Gun Day intown 4 times a year and then the Kenny Woods Gun Show another 4 times a year. Seems like every month or two there is a gun show!

Doubt I'll go as I'm not planning to be a buyer, but it wouldn't be the first time that best laid plans fly right out the window. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

We are back up in a patient room. Very groggy. I will watch her all night. She has a draining neck wound. They removed 30 cc of pus from below her tongue.
Too much info? She is improving

I hope all is going well, Ken. Not TMI. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Regarding Blade, I want to go and I do have vacation time, so... I guess I should go. Atlanta is a 100 minute flight away.

Re: Blade Show 2018 Atlanta
I never felt it was oriented much to kitchen knives, but mistlyhunting and military, but you do see the work of many knifemakers. Also lots of knife supply people.
A fun show.
Been a few times.
Hard to get reservations .. Shop early.
