New shoe for my Munetoshi Butcher

Post by nevrknow »

Sindora burl, nickel-silver spacer ( wont do that again ) ebony ferrule. Decided I liked the machi look for this one.

Also simple blonde horn and ebony for my HD2. Elegant. I'm really liking this one. Somehow dust on that handle in this pic. What I get for not wiping it down before the pic.

Love it when I actually get time to work on handles on my few days at home. :)

I would never think to upgrade the handle of my Munetoshi (butchery is so messy) but that looks really nice.

Thanks. But I made it so if it gets a lil "crudy" I can fix it. :)

I need to invest in a few more woodworking tools. It would be nice to just be able to whip up a handle now and then when the urge hit me.

Drill press, table saw and belt sander will get you started. Plenty of accessories to make the steps easier after that.

I didn’t mean to hijack your thread. You nailed it with those handles!

The Konosuke HD2 handle is beautifully true to the knife's roots. They used to come with ebony and beautiful blonde horn handles standard a long time ago. I can only assume you did that on purpose.

Absolutely. Been doing burl woods for awhile now. Decided to try something simple. I like it and have 2 more glued up right now. :)
