Cool stuff for cracked handles

Post by Kalaeb »

Just came across this stuff.

https://www.starbond.com/black-heavymed ... l-500.html

I have not used it yet, but I guess it is a black thicker CA glue. Maybe a possibility for handle cracks. I think someone was looking for something for cracks awhile back.

Would probably work great for filling gaps around tangs too.

Lol, I have some in route too. Full disclaimer...I have not used it. But thought it might work good in horn, ebony etc...

Should work well, though I rarely use a CA type glue where I would need black. For many of my handle builds and handle mounts, I use West black graphite powder as an addition to the G-Flex epoxy, purpose is strictly color.

I use the medium thick black CA from starbond. It works great, but was a little thinner than I had expected. I would love feedback on this.

Thanks
Joe
