For sure!

Are the black spacers required to ensure a strong bond to the metal, or purely aesthetic?
The black micarta is not required, I definitely like it.

Clearly I have been lax in posting some of my new metal spacer handles in this thread.

A while back @dphamblades have away a couple knives, asking the winner to name several of their favorite makers in the comments, and chef-bladesmith Duy chose the winner giving me the honor of becoming the handle maker. I was sent the petty, based on the choil shot, it looks nice and thin. After collaborating with the client, he wanted “dragon tail”! Enjoy the photo, I will post more on this handle later.

Here we go, I hope the handle lives up to the blade. So far the client is very happy with this maple burl/nickel silver spacer on his Kato gyuto!

Check out these zebrawood one piece handle! This arrived at a happy client over the weekend. These are easy for customers to install with beeswax or epoxy due to the oversized tang hole.
