Hand forged by Mr Kosunoke in Okuizumo, central Shimane Prefecture,
“family tradition in steel dating back to 1834.”

Single bevel, 103mm edge, 220mm overall.
36.5mm tall, 4.7mm spine above heel, 3.6mm in the middle. 101g.
Aogami 2 core steel, reactive cladding, burnt chestnut handle, plastic ferrule.

Knife is new, but did prep 2 heads of broccoli just to try it, so no fish yet.
Stropped it lightly on balsa with Ken’s 1 micron CBN. It’s screaming sharp!

Paid $213.19 for it in July 2017, so I’d like to get $175. inc. shipping within US.

While this great little knife may not be the collectible 240 gyuto, it still is a very clean, new
hand forged B2 single bevel deba from a maker with considerable history.

Since a few of you have pointed out that the current model at Knife Japan is listed at $179,
