Thought these were interesting and didn't really know where else to post them. Really old Macs that my partner's grandparents use. They regularly "sharpen" them on a pull through style sharpener and that's all they've used for decades. Wish I had taken a before picture, there was a 1cm section along the blade at the choil that was much taller than the rest of the blade. Got rid of that with the cktg diamond plate, not sure what I would do without that. The knifes couldn't cut through skin when I got them, but that's not the case anymore. Any ideas on how old they might be?

Ha! I've sold a few just like that on feebay over the years, & there was A LOT of interest. They're still popular!! No idea how old they are...But probably not that old.

63mm from the base to the spine. It may have even been a little taller originally, has been sharpened once.

It's also only ~225mm in length even though it's one of his medium gyutos, which are supposed to be 240. Still probably my favorite knife, though!
