Hi Therre,

increasingly I am getting this error message when I try to connect to the forum;
"
Error 1016 Ray ID: 50b8adf83a1aa43f • 2019-08-24 22:14:31 UTC
Origin DNS error"

I have to try later or persevere and eventually seem to get through. It also happens when I reply to a post & hit submit, which can be frustrating.

Any thoughts as to what I can do to get around this please?

Setup your DNS to use Cloudflare https://1.1.1.1/

Alas, this is something that only cktg/its providers can fix. I believe there were DNS issues earlier in the year as well. I recall the earlier incident was location-sensitive.

Here is cloudflare’s article on the error. Essentially this site uses cloudflare as a cache / protection against denial of service attacks and from you location, your local cloudflare server is having trouble looking up the real site (origin) in DNS.

Hey thanks for the responses gladius & ray, unfortunately that all just makes my brain hurt these days

I use a VPN which might be part of the issue. It generally sorts itself out after a few attempts & the most reliable "fix" that I've found so far is to just get onto the CKtG main product site and click the "Forum" button from there.

This is only something that has started happening fairly recently, so was just wondering if others are finding the same issue.
