CKTG 80 grit diamond plate

Post by nakneker »

I’ve been flattening some stones, adding resin bases to other stones and using my 140 CKTG diamond plate a lot. It’s does a great job and it’s doesnt cost much. I could have used a more aggressive diamond plate a couple time in the last couple days and want to buy one of the 80 grit CKTG diamond plates.

If you have one do you like it? I’ll probably buy one when they restock, just curious. I’d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve used one.

I don't have an 80 grit plate - haven't used one either - but do have a 46 grit,60 grit, 100 grit and 150 grit plates which compliment the Atoma plates (140 400 600 1200). I also have a 3000 grit plate to follow the 1200 Atoma which works out nicely. The 3k plate is significantly more robust than the XXF DMT plate. So you have a full range of grits from 46 grit to 3000 grit in diamond plates.

These lower grit plates ARE aggressive and hold up very well. I use them for rapid flattening and metal removal The scratch patterns need to be flattened using a 140 afterwards.

I have the CKTG 80 grit plate and it works just like expected. You can flatten anything with it and quick.

Thanks Jason. I’m gonna snag next time they are in. I’ve been very happy with the 140, incredible value.
