Yes, I used the old Fujiyama item page for the new knife since customers harass me about being on the wait list but they don't get notified. I wanted to make sure customers got emails for this one.

Getting notified never helped me with a knife like a Fuji. They're usually gone before I get the chance to read the notification!

Mark, I'm not sure if these are mistakes, or maybe I'm just missing something. I've been looking at the Mazaki Shirogami Hairline gyutos. On the 210 and 240 (only ones I've looked at) you refer to the blacksmith as Mizaki.

" We are very excited about our new line of knives and our partnering with this new young blacksmith, Mr. Mizaki. "

Then under the stats it says Mazaki San. With an A vs an i.

And then in the video, its a video of a Yahiko Shirogami Hairline Gyuto. Also in the pictures of the hairline it appears to have the wrong Kanji, perhaps the same Yahiko kanji. They dont match up with the Kurouchi Mazaki Kanji or the Mazaki Kanji I've seen in other places with the large swooping bottom Kanji letter. Can you clear some of this up for me? Thanks

Title says 165 mm, but description and specs it says 210 mm and 208 mm, respectively.

Thanks, I reused a Yoshimune 165 Nakir page and these are in fact 210ish.

Might be beneficial to update the photos on the Mazaki pages. Have talked to a few people that were confused by what they were looking at because the kanji on the knives did not match what they thought the Mazaki kanji looked like.
Think there are more than a few that have bought from other vendors because they weren't sure about what they would receive from CKTG.

Yeah I did update a few of them but I’ll go through and do them all. I’ll post new pictures and add the copy about the engraving if we still have any old ones left.

Yes, when we first purchased the knives from this blacksmith he had just left from working with his relatives at Yoshikane and he was afraid to use his own name. At that point he couldn't make knives larger than nakiris because his forge wasn't big enough. So I offered to have him make them under our house brand Yahiko. Then later he decided he would use his own name and started shipping us knives with his name on them. His name is Mazaki. If it's spelled with an i it's simply a typo that either I or Ray did when we wrote it. I'll fix it.

Also, if you search his name you'll see discussion about this in the past on the forum. They were less money when he was making them with our logo and after we encouraged him to let us use his name he said yes and also raised the prices.

On the Yahiko White #2 Shimo main page the steel in the description is listed as Blue #2 a couple of times.

Yahiko Blue #2 Shimo. This line of Yahiko is from a single blacksmith that has been making blades of various sorts for 50 years. His specialty is actually sickles and he works in the shadow of Mt Yahiko. Hammer forged with Blue #2 steel, these nicely clad knives have a simple, sand blast finish which gives them a frosted appearance. The word Shimo means frosted in Japanese. The Shirogami #2 steel is hardened by the smith to about 61 Rockwell and he does this process in house and by experience. We hope you will enjoy this quality handmade line.
