Homemade handles
Homemade handles
I made some more handles. Combinations of rosewood, ebony, walnut with a spalted tamarind base.

Re: Homemade handles
Every time I see a spalted tamarind handle I just want one for myself! Beautiful stuff!

Re: Homemade handles
Those are beautiful your quite a craftsman. I rehandle alot of knives, if you can ballpark me a price please do. Thank you.
Re: Homemade handles
The wood I use varies in price and I don't buy bulk, but I could probably let almost any handle go for $45. That mostly material and just enough extra for me to feel like I'm actually selling them and not giving them away.
Re: Homemade handles
Here's my newest one. The colors look off in these pictures. I'm not sure why. The tamarind is the same color as the others.
Re: Homemade handles
BTW, I do have a number of this style. And I'm happy to sell them for $25 a piece. Here are some other pictures that show the color better.
