WTS Moritaka AS 240 Gyuto

This is a free service where you can buy and sell knives and sharpening equipment and kitchen tools. There is no fee for posting items but we require that you've made at least 30 posts on our forum before you post something for sale.
Forum rules
As stated in the description, we want to get to know you better before allowing new forum members to post items for sale. You will not be able to create topics until you reach a 30 post minimum. Please take your time and contribute to the forum discussions in a substantive way. SPAM posting to reach 30 posts is considered very bad form and could get you booted off these forums.

NOTE: If you have an item for sale and you are located outside the Continental U.S. please state your location so the buyer knows what to expect in a purchase transaction.

WTS Moritaka AS 240 Gyuto

Post by LaVieestBelle » Wed Jun 12, 2019 1:19 pm

This knife has star quality! It was first put into use ever so briefly as the video knife for Steve's Quick Look series. I then picked it up after the video. Almost kept it for sentimental reasons!

If you want a great look at this specific knife, head over to the CKTG store, click on this model, and watch the video.

Moritaka 240 AS gyuto.

2014 version.

Length 238mm
Height at heel 47.5mm

AS steel, iron KU cladding
Octagonal yew wood handle, buffalo horn ferrule.

Only lightly used. Some patina, and the KU finish is in very good shape. I was new, and trying out different makers and profiles. Only the lightest stropping was needed. It has been living in a box far too long.

Asking 188 with PP fees and shipping to CONUS addresses. Other locations--contact me!
