Difference between Makoto Ryusei and Makoto knives?

What is the difference between these two knives?:

Makoto AS Ryusei Gyuto 210mm

I'm also curious. I'm having trouble noticing a difference, except for the red ferrule. Is the Ryusei the replacement of the AS?

That was my guess, the Ryusei is a newer version of the same blade. But that's just a guess, hence the question.
