3.5" O-1 blade, and some rosewood colored wood laminate from Current Composites. Wanted to make another paring knife for my kitchen and try out this handle material!

I don't seem to see a lot of wood laminate handles but to me it seems to be a pretty ideal mix of natural appearance and fairly high durability. That is a handsome little knife there!

Thanks! Dymondwood was a big supplier way back, but their factory burned down many years ago. Spectra ply and Dymalux are similar, but they use Birch and are softer. Current composites made this material for gun grips well before 2000, and the stuff's been just sitting in their warehouse. I have some brown Walnut colored and some black pieces as well. I also have another 01 blank from the same batches this one that I can make up too.

That looks amazing. Great shape and the longer handle must make it a peach to use for peeling.

Re: O-1 Paring knife
Yeah, I was tired of small, skinny handle paring knives, so I made one for my hands! It is a full flat grind and is like a straight razor! Its 3/32" stock with a full flat grind and distal taper.
Receipt didn't stand a chance!
