Takefu Knife Village: Yu Kurosaki and others

Post by limpet » Wed Nov 01, 2017 6:25 am

Here's a great program about knife making in Takefu Knife Village. Old faces and new faces. :)

It's mostly focused on Yu Kurosaki, but there's a lot of other great makers featured in the clip. Also, it's about the history and concept of Takefu Knife Village.

And don't be fooled by the lame video thumbnail cutting a sandwich. ;)

That was awesome. Cheesy music and narration, but a great look into the Knife Village and Yu Kurosaki. A fantastic companion piece to Springhammer.

Cool video. Thanks for sharing. Did y'all notice the CKTG order up on the white board in Kurosaki's shop?

Springhammer I think is the best documentary to date on the bladesmithing culture there.

At about 16 minutes you see Kurosaki’s wife and adorable little daughter sitting at the hibachi grill.

There’s a lot of good stuff in this video.

I really enjoyed this video, as I said before and enjoy others like it. If I could find 600 of them, I'd watch them. :)

I’ll make sure Kurosaki knows that name we gave his knife. :)
