So the baking soda neutralizes corrosion if it is acidic but I would also use a little WD-40 and fine wet/dry sandpaper to rub on the pitting so as not to remove too much steel - limit the area - see if that does it. See if you could push for 500 pieces (at higher bying price of course) and calculate the difference in the selling price. See if the final price is reasonable and go for it!
