Thanks for kind words guys. It really is a beautiful piece that will make someone very happy, I've just done a lot of buying recently and need to make some room for incoming stuff. For a full custom by a domestic maker, you simply cannot beat the price.

WTS Carter Hopkins 210 Suji/Line Knife

Up for sale is a 210mm Sujihiki by Carter Hopkins. Steel is 52100. I think we're all familiar with Carter's impeccable handle/saya work and his eye for detail comes through in his blades as well. This is a beautiful package, desert ironwood handle with bronze spacers. Knife has a great grind and exc...

Re: Looking to fill out my collection

Cool, will do. I'm at work now, but will shoot you something later tonight or tomorrow. There's a whole mess of em, some of which I'm more motivated to move than others. But maybe we can make some deals! Off the top of my head: John Jones 210mm Cleaver in W2 (thats W2, not white 2) Kohetsu AS 270mm ...

Re: Looking to fill out my collection

I'm a little confused by the post. This is an open ended WTB? Should we just PM you with random stuff for sale? I am about to unload between 6 and 10 blades here pretty soon, should I send you a list?

Re: looking for Cleavers

I may be looking to unload this John Jones Cleaver, bought here a few months back from kalaeb. Has Patina now, cracked ferrule (I bought it that way) and has been thinned.

Re: High end collection for sale

mauichef, that seems a reasonable solution. I will say too that at this point in my collecting, there aren't really any gaping holes I've got to fill re makers or knife style and most of my buys are impulse driven based on the eye candy! I see a photo of a knife and say, 'Ooooh I just gotta have tha...

Always enjoy your work Matt, a true innovator. Back on the old site, you had I think a Kono GInsan and a Yukawa tamahagane left pending; did those ever sell?
