Strops

Post by Peter Nowlan »

Recently I gave a fella a lesson and he told me he would make me a strop, I wasn't expecting a strop but in no time at all, I had my hands full of beautiful cowhide strops

I asked him if he could make more because I could sell them to customers.

The smaller ones are for people to throw in a backpack and use in the field. Also, these are not just from any cows, only the best looking ones, some real lookers.

(Speaking of thinning, the knife in the picture is very very thick so more experience lies ahead for me)
