Re: Restaurant Recommendations/Requests
Too many to list,
I usually Yelp search for reviews depends on my mood.
A few of my fave. Yoi Sushi for the Giant eel on rice, Unadon; Tianjin dumpling house & Xian’s famous foods etc.

I've had excellent and not so excellent experiences at Kingyo (for the price: this isn't high-end food). I like there mains, but I think they've switches recently to offer more "tapas" style (I forget the Japanese word) bites which were less impressive, but I've only been a handful of times regardless.

Comments: I'm short, a home cook, prefer lighter, thinner blades, and own mostly Konosukes but have used over a dozen brands.

I believe you might be referring to Izakaya, which is essentially a bar that serves snacks, small plates. Kaiseki is a more formal, multi-course meal.

Yeah, they call themselves "Kingyo Izakaya." The used to have a decent list of full-on entres, but they've since changed the menu a bit. Still likely worth checking out.ronnie_suburban wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 2:49 pmI believe you might be referring to Izakaya, which is essentially a bar that serves snacks, small plates. Thanks for the responses. I'm hoping to get to take advantage of the food scene there soon. Sounds like that could be a fun spot.
