Green Cabbage, Carrot & Toyama Noborikoi Stainless Clad Blue Gyuto, 210mm
And another awesome knife!
Now that's a knife! Did you do the carrots with it too or use the peeler thing?ronnie_suburban wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 2:25 pm Nice to see this thread revived. I haven't posted one in a while but here's one from earlier today . . .

The not-very-weekly-anymore slaw rides again!![]()
Thanks. I use a julienne peeler for the carrots. It's one of the few single-taskers in my kitchen but when you want it, you want it!ex1580 wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 4:01 pmNow that's a knife! Nice! The shot looks great. I don't use my MACs very often but when I do, I really like them. And they sharpen up very nicely, too.ex1580 wrote: ↑Thu May 22, 2025 2:31 pm My MACs are my travel knives and I had to make sure this one was ready for some running around this summer. What better way than to prep a big stir fry starting with cabbage? It's funny how it takes a sec to get the hang of a knife you haven't used in a couple of months. Looks like it works! On thicker veg, like a carrot or apple or even a big bell pepper, I like to see a nice clean cut that is very shiny.

There is a funny angle on the picture as I was trying to avoid glare.
Thanks! The MACs might not look fancy but they are pretty nice. They take a sharp edge and hold it longer than any of my trips, and the shapes and sizes are very practical. No complaints here! I use them for travel mostly and I do that because they would be easy to replace, although I've never lost a one. I did a much better job with this cabbage thanks to a few adjustments to my strategy.ronnie_suburban wrote: ↑Thu May 22, 2025 8:11 pmNice! The shot looks great.
