Re: Custom BBCodes

The Media Embed just needs turned on...I don't have the permissions when I try to use it. There must have been a board update or Youtube update. The media embed was created because Youtube constantly changed. I can go into the page source and see the video Ronnie posted...but I cannot see it within...

Re: Kekoa gyuto started

You got the order right Taz, I checked with my brother and he said the one he sent me was out of order on accident. So this is right. ケコア Right to left is correct for the current writing method in Japan he said, but they used to write top to bottom, which I might do for this. I think I like the loo...

Which one(s) Ronnie? I just tried it by right-clicking on video and "copy video URL" https://youtu.be/i-id1ZliK5g and also copied from address bar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-id1ZliK5g and they appear to be working - now anyway. i-id1ZliK5g Talking about embedding, not linking. --- ...

Re: What do you do with a wonky chopper

I picked up one a few weeks ago and it is a great value. Mine came in straight with an even grind. It took a typical good white steel no. 2 edge and is a good performer. Not up to the level of Sugimoto Virgin Carbon Steel but for $60 quite nice. Sorry yours is "wonky" but every time you wo...

One of these days I will have to mount an expedition into the Metropolis rumored to be over the San Gabriels with a fistful of cash and bring home a comparable ribeye. --- Over the San Gabriels...I can see them from here https://i.imgur.com/NIRvwpp...

My wife asked if I wanted Biryani for Valentine dinner - of course I did. Ground Wagyu ( not A5 but flavorful nonetheless ) on crispy Jasmine rice, topped with mint and parsley...it was very flavorful. https://i.imgur.com/nzXsH60.jpeg And for dessert a Boysenberry pie... https://i.imgur.com/3fgJDl2....

That's my usual MO, unless after trying it out, it needs sharpening. --- I have found over the years some factory edges are weak so my usual practice now has ...

Re: What did you cook today?

It was leftover day. Some don't like them but I love leftovers.

Carne Asada mixed with ground Wagyu beef and Nopalitos, Pinto beans and rice, Tomatillo salsa and Cheddar cheese quesadilla on the side.
